Arcadia Invitational Results and Home Meet Tues, 4/15

ARCADIA RESULTS

Happy Spring Break! Hope this finds you relaxed and enjoying the week, whether in some exotic locale or right here in the exotic South Bay! As you know, for athletes who remained in town, there’s not much of a break as they’ve been training hard to prepare for the ‘meat’ of the season with the bulk of our League competition ahead of us. They can rest in June!

PV Results: It was a beautiful day to be in Palos Verdes. Several of our Mustangs had great marks — and our girls freshman phenom relay team of Sierra Andrade, Emily Jones, Jessie Gregson-Williams, and Shante Robinson set a new Mustang record in the freshman 4×400.  It was a very strong field at PV — almost double the number of schools over last year. Congrats on rising to the challenge, Mustangs. Here’s the link to complete results: PV Results

Arcadia Invitational tomorrow & Saturday: We have 14 athletes who qualified to compete this weekend in the prestigious Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High School, 180 Campus Drive (in, you guessed it, Arcadia, CA 91007). As with all invitationals, there is a charge for spectators:

Friday: Adults $7, Students w HS ID $7 and Children 12 and under $5
Saturday: Adults $15, Students w HS ID $7 and Children 12 and under $5

Home Meet v. Peninsula Tuesday: Before you can say, “Back to School, dangit!” we’ll be hosting another home meet — but on a MUCH smaller scale than the last one! Our Bay League competition continues as we welcome the Panthers of Peninsula High School at 2:45 Tuesday. We still need several areas covered, so if you are able to help, please sign up on Volunteer Spot for working a shift or donating to the snack stand (or both!) While you’re there, you might as well sign up for our last home meet of the season on the 24th!
