What a day! Congratulations to the Mustang Track and Field Family — from the athletes to the coaches to the parents (and even some grandparents) for pulling together for a great effort both on the track and behind the scenes!
From Coach Moe:
I would like to Thank Every Booster Parent and Volunteer who helped make the 2014 Mustang Relays a Success. It was Amazing to see Our Track Family so supportive of the program. On behalf of our coaching staff and team we thank everyone for your time, efforts, and support.
We Really Appreciate You!!!!
Coach Moe Russell and Staff
Volunteer T-Shirts: So far we received back a mere 27 of our 75 Volunteer t-shirts, so if you wore yours home, no problem — you can bring it to our next home meet on the 15th.
Mustang Relays T-shirts: We sold out of small, medium and large sizes of both styles of Mustang Relays shirts (dri-fit ($12) and cotton ($10)). If you did not get one and are interested in buying one, please reply to this email and let us know. If there’s enough interest, we may be able to print a second run. Many thanks to the Searcy family for making those happen! They looked great!
Mustang Relays Program: If you did not get a meet program and would like one for a souvenir, we will have them for the taking at the Snack Stand April 15 (free). Many thanks to Denny Hooten for selling ads for the program so that all the printing costs were covered.
Spirit Orders: Duffel bags and spirit orders are in. (Still waiting for teamwear warmup jackets…an unfortunate backlog from our vendor). They will be at practice later this week for the kids to bring home.
Coming up: PV Invitational Many of our Mustangs will be heading back up the hill on Saturday for the 2nd Annual Palos Verdes Invitational at PV High School. If your athlete will be out of town for Spring Break, they should notify their coach immediately so as not to be included in the entries for this meet. We will post the performance list on the web as soon as it is available.
Spring Break: Coaches will be holding practices next week — your athlete will know what time their squad will meet. If you are going away, have fun and be safe — try not to do any radical snowboarding tricks that will prevent you from working the snack stand or finish line for the last two meets, okay?
Lost and Found: Someone turned in a women’s size large warmup jacket that was left on the bench in the shotput area. If it belongs to you, it was left in the press box. Ask Coach Moe for help getting in there.
New Sponsors: We are excited that Kinecta Credit Union has come on board as a MCHS sponsor for all the sports teams. Great to have them! Also thanks to Fresh Brothers Pizza for sponsoring one of our post-meet coaches’ dinners, and to Steve Delk for organizing the dinners, recruiting the sponsors, and also hosting them at his restaurant — OBs Pub & Grill — as well. Our coaches say THANK YOU! Next up, Johnny Rockets has offered a special discount for the coaching crew — thankful for our community support!
