Uniform Sizing, Parent Meeting, Schedule — and more!

Friday – uniform & apparel sizing (help needed!): We will be on hand this Friday during the sixth period “Finals” slot (10:20 am) to allow new and returning athletes to try on uniforms, warmups and the brand new Game Day Polos to determine what size they’ll need to order (this will save parents from the guesswork that happens when the order form arrives!) If you can lend a hand (especially if you are good with a spreadsheet), please email MCTrackBoosters@gmail.com and us me know! The more help we have, the quicker the process. Returning athletes do not need a new uniform or warmups (unless they’ve outgrown last year’s model), but will definitely want to check out the Game Day shirts.

Parents Meeting Wed, Feb 12, 6-8 pm: Be sure to calendar this meeting — it’s in the MCHS Library — where you will find out everything you need to know about MCHS Track & Field for the upcoming season. You will hear from Coaches and Boosters about ways you can make this a successful season for athlete. We’ll be passing out all the information on donations, uniforms and apparel, and more, so don’t miss it!

Time Trials Feb 13, 2:45 pm: You are welcome to head to the track the day after the Parent Meeting to see the kids in action as they participate in Time Trials (basically a practice meet where they will see how it all works and record their first unofficial times of the season). Also a great opportunity to volunteer on the field (as a timer, jump-pit-raker, measurer, statistician).

2014 Schedule: The 2014 schedule (although subject to change…but that’s life you know?) has been releases. Click on the Schedule tab.

Sponsors: A big thanks to hurdles dad Denny Hooten, who has been pounding the pavement around town drumming up Sponsorships from local businesses. Have you asked any of the merchants you visit regularly to sign up? If you have some prospects, be sure to take a Sponsorship Form with you — click “Sponsors”tab.

Athletic Clearance & Forms: All athletes must have complete athletic clearance forms and emergency cards before they can participate. (Those who were cleared in other sports in the Fall or Winter season are good to go). Here’s a link to those forms if you need them: MCHS Athletic Forms Link. If you are unsure of your athlete’s status, have them ask Coach Moe at practice.
