Away Meet at Peninsula Today

Bay League Meet at Peninsula High School today 2:45
The buses will be rolling out of the MCHS driveway at 1:15 today for our second League meet of the season. Peninsula High School is located at: 27118 Silver Spur Rd
Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274-2300. MAP LINK  The Track program there is hosting an athletic shoe donation program, so if you or your track star have some old sneakers that still have some miles left in them, you can bring then along and drop them off there. Athletes not making this road trip have been instructed to check in with Ms. Cunningham in Room 76 at 3 pm (not a minute before — she’s teaching!)
Where were you when the lights went out at CPK?
If our numbers are any indication, most of you had already been to CPK when the blackout occurred last night — or maybe you came later. Even with that lost hour, our T&F supporters spent over $1,600 — a mere $200 or so less than the previous year! We are very thankful to CPK Manhattan Beach and the staff there — they’ll be sending us a check for $323. Really, is there an easier way to make three bills? Thanks to all who participated – and all who tried but couldn’t!

Weekend Invitationals: Tartar Relays (frosh-soph only) and PV Invitational
Most of our athletes will be competing somewhere this Saturday. The details are still being worked out, but they will all know soon where they’re going! The Tartar Relays at Zamperini Field in Torrance is for freshmen and sophomores only. The PV Invitational is for all levels. Both meets start at 10:30 am. PV will conclude approximate 6 pm; Tartar Relays approx 4 pm. (No buses for this event; you and your athlete can come and go. Coaches will let them know how early to be there)

Hot Dog! Pink’s made us some money!
Our Snack Stand co-chair Amy Goldberg reports that Pink’s Hot Dogs will donate $255 of their Mustang Relays haul back to the program. “Frankly,” my dears, that’s great!
