Up Next: South Bay Championships

Meet Recap:
Well, in a perfect world, we would have swept our cross-town rivals in our last home meet of the season — but we are proud of all of our Mustangs as we beat rival Redondo in the Varsity Boys, F/S Boys and F/S Girls Divisions. We had some great performances at all levels, and the boys clinched at least a share of the Bay League Title (next week’s meet at West will determine if we win outright). Here’s the meet recap from today’s Daily Breeze: Article.

South Bay Championships Friday (Frosh/Soph) and Saturday (Varsity)
Many of our athletes will be making the first of two trips to West Torrance High School for South Bay Championships (we’re going again on Thursday for a dual meet). There will be a bus from Costa tomorrow at 3 for the F/S squad.

Friday & Saturday: Mt. Sac Relays:
Our stellar distance gals are traveling a bit further than the rest of the crew this weekend — all the way to Walnut (they don’t call ’em distance gals for nothin!) Best of luck at Mt. Sac. Relays! Here are the links:

CPK Report
Thanks to all who went to CPK for dine-in or take-out Monday night. CPK will donate $365 to Track & Field! Thanks, California Pizza Kitchen!

Thanks to Village Runner
Our friends over at Village Runner donated $230 to Track & Field as a result of our Spike Night in February! Funding high school sports really does take a Village, doesn’t it? Be sure to thank them for their support next time you stop in!

Coming up:
See you all again at West Torrance High School on Thursday for our last Bay League meet of the year. Buses will leave from school. Then it’s on to Bay League Prelims & Finals the week after that.

Banquet — Monday, May 21, 6-10 pm, Manhattan Beach Marriot
