BAY LEAGUE PRELIMS AND FINALS
This week we host the Bay League Prelims and Finals meets. The Bay League Prelims takes place on 2015 bay league prelims schedule. Don’t forget! Our banquet is Monday, May 18 at 6:00pm at the Marriott Manhattan Beach. Tickets are $40 per person – 4 year seniors are free but still need to RSVP. Prices increase after Tuesday, May 5. Don’t forget to mail in your RSVP tomorrow!

SENIOR RECOGNITION DAY
This Thursday is our last regular home meet against Morningside & Inglewood. This is also when we hold our Senior Recognition Ceremony. Each of our senior athletes will be recognized in a ceremony prior to the beginning of the meet. The ceremony will start around 2:20 and the meet will start a little later than normal, as a result, at 3:00.
We also need volunteers to help run Thursday’s meet along with snack stand donations. Please sign up today!
Wednesday, April 29 is Mira Costa Track & Field Night at CPK all day. 20% of your bill is donated to the team. CPK Fundraiser flyer to take with you and to share with family and friends.

This Wednesday we are hosting South Torrance for a dual meet at home. The meet starts at 2:45 and all athletes should be competing. Additionally, Saturday is the 21st annual Mustang Relays, the largest sports event at Mira Costa and Track & Field’s biggest fundraiser. We are greatly in need of volunteers for both of these events. Please consider committing a few hours of your time to helping us run these meets. We are also seeking snack stand donations for both. Today’s meet is away at Penninsula High School. Buses will leave Mira Costa around 1:00pm. Athletes should notify their teachers for periods 4 and 5 that they will be absent. Athletes should also bring their lunch and plenty to snacks and drinks. Buses will return to Mira Costa after the meet. Athletes that want to leave the meet with their parents must have a completed alternative transportation form on file with the coaches

We have a busy, exciting weekend ahead of us. This Friday night and Saturday is the Redondo Invitational at Redondo High. All athletes that are competing have been notified by the coaches. Sunday is our First Annual Mini Mustang Relays Meet. It should be a great time! We have had great response from local kids in grades K-8. All athletes are expected to participate and should meet at the track at 11:30am for a team meeting. Registration begins at noon with races beginning at 1:00pm.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Although the athletes will run the events on the field, we need parent volunteers to help with check in, snack stand, results and awards. We have a lot of open spots!!
