Parents Meeting Wed, Feb 4, 7-9 pm: Be sure to calendar this meeting — it’s in the MCHS Library — where you will find out everything you need to know about MCHS Track & Field for the upcoming season. You will hear from Coaches and Boosters about ways you can make this a successful season for the Mustangs. We’ll be passing out all the information on donations, uniforms and apparel, and more, so don’t miss it! We need help with set-up and clean-up so if you can spare a few minutes on either side please respond to this email.
Please note that Mustang Relays are 3/28, the Arcadia Invitational is the last weekend of Spring Break, and CIF Finals are over Memorial Day weekend. Culver City is also joining us for our first meet 2/28. Go Costa! 2015-website-schedule-v4

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Track Class Tryouts. Of the 55 people who tried out, we are excited to welcome 31 into our training class. Congratulations!
If you didn’t make it, continue working out. We will have another tryout in January.
Athletic Clearance Packets are due from all athletes in the 6th period training class by Monday October 6th. You can find the packet on the Mira Costa web site or on our track website under the Links Tab. If you have any questions please contact Coach Moe www.Moe.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Things athletes need to remember about 6th period Track Training Class:
- Wear good quality running shoes.
- Bring water – every day.
- Eat a good lunch – every day. Do not skip.
- Ice, stretch, and roll-out every day after training. Even if you think you don’t need too.
Every day– we want you to succeed!
Make sure everyone knows that track team fall try-outs will be held Friday at 3:30pm – 4:45pm on the track. Meet at the finish line and be on time. Bring water and wear proper workout attire.
The Brooks Inspiring Coaches Award Each Year Brooks Running sponsors a contest to identify the most inspiring coaches across the nation.
